The YBL-835 has evolved to deliver the power and performance that modern music demands. It has an open playing feel and produces rich, authoritative tone that responds ideally to player control.
Every detail of the YBL-835 has been refined to deliver world-class tone and playability in performance situations ranging from solo to orchestral. New features include redesigned slide and mouthpiece receivers, and a modified rotary valve port shape which allows greater breath flow and makes it possible to deliver higher volume with an enhanced playing response. The lever action has been upgraded with a shorter stroke that affords improved operability, adjustable to precisely match the player?s hand size. The YBL-835 also features the first detachable hand rest ever to be provided in a custom bass trombone, significantly reducing strain on the player?s fingers. Both the YBL-835 and YBL-835G (Gold Brass Bell) feature a gold brass main tuning slide that contributes to broader, rich tone.

Detachable bell options not only allow more compact storage, but the added weight of the bell screw section helps to produce a tighter sound with improved directionality.
